Tasker Cottage Trip!

Our dear friends, Phil and Ginny Donahue, have an amazing cottage on the Tippecanoe River in Indiana. We have been blessed to be invited year after year to stay with them and each trip gets better and better (especially after I learned that Claritin helps tremendously). We headed there the last weekend in July and had a great time. We take big tubes out for a river float and the weather was so great we just stayed out there all afternoon. Phill tried some fishing and the kids just swam and collected shells.
The river was high this year and the log in the middle, which serves as the diving board was completely underwater. Adam and Jack had fun trying to balance on it though.
I actually have NO idea what Lara and Catie are doing in this picture.
The kids all put on crazy hats and take a picture by the pool table. The pool table is the highlight of the cottage. We had a great adult/kid tournament that seemed to go on forever!!! There weren't enough kids to balance out the teams, so I was listed as a kid due to my playing ability. I can't even remember who won, it wasn't me though, I stink at pool. Hopefully poor Phil won't get stuck with me again in the next tournament.
They had a great time playing Kemps, which is a card game that only kids seem to understand. I'm certain that's mostly due to the fact that the rules chage periodically and there's some facy kind of cheating involved.

Thanks Donahue's for another "Perfect Summer Day". We can't wait for Ham Dinner.
